It is our pleasure to invite
you to a talk, followed by discussion, by
Dr. Mohamed Y. Mattar, Co-Director of 'The
Protection Project' of the
Foreign Policy Institute, Johns Hopkins
University - School of Advanced
International Studies (SAIS), Washington,
D.C. and Professor of Law at
the Georgetown University Law Center, Washington,
D.C
Dr. Mattar will talk about
TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS
The meeting will take place on Thursday,
May 12 2005 at 6 pm at the
Lessius American Studies Center, St.-Andriesstraat
2, 2000 Antwerpen. .
In his capacity as Co-Director of 'The Protection
Project', Dr. Mattar
is responsible for monitoring, analyzing
and reporting on violations of
human rights, conducting training and capacity
building programs for
NGOs, government officials and service providers,
and working towards
universal implementation of human rights.
At the Georgetown University Law Center,
Dr. Mattar teaches courses on
Islamic Law, Investment and Trade Laws of
the Middle East, and
International Trafficking of Women and Children.
He also teaches at The
American University, Washington College
of Law, Washington, D.C as well as
at Johns Hopkins University, Paul Nitze
School of Advanced International
Studies, Washington, D.C. (Courses taught:
Investment and Trade Laws of
the Middle East, Comparative Law, Islamic
Law, International Commercial
Contracts, and International Trafficking
in Persons).
