Transatlantic Unity in the Mideast: What are the Prospects?

We are happy to inform you that David Makovsky, Director of the Project on the Middle East Peace Process at The Washington Institute (a Washington DC-based think tank) will be speaking at the American Studies Center in the Lessius Hogeschool on Wednesday March 7th at 3.30pm .
The title of his lecture is: Transatlantic Unity in the Mideast: What are the Prospects?
As you will see in his biography, he has a very interesting «parcours». Before joining The Washington Institute, Mr. Makovsky was an award-winning journalist who covered the peace process from 1989 to 2000. He is the former executive editor of the Jerusalem Post and was diplomatic correspondent for Israel's leading daily Haaretz. Now a contributing editor to U.S. News and World Report, he served for eleven years as the magazine's special Jerusalem correspondent. He was awarded the National Press Club's 1994 Edwin M. Hood Award for Diplomatic Correspondence for a cover story on PLO finances that he co-wrote for the magazine. He also teaches Middle East Studies at the Paul H.
