for by advertisers). Mostly talk-radio,
NPR stations offer a variety of programs
on everything from current issues and cultural
happenings to investment/market analysis
to "Car Talk", a show where 2
goofy mechanic brothers take calls from
motorists nationwide and share their technical
expertise while entertaining listeners.
- PBS is
a public television broadcast station that
is available nationwide. Much of the programming
is educational in focus, but PBS is known
for its consistently high-quality programs.
